Cortinarius cinnamomeus - Hat diameter 10 to 80 mm. Young arched, then low-arched, outstretched, with a small umbo, middle, dry, smooth or slightly fibrous, slightly scaly, dull, nut-brown, olive-brown, sometimes also reddish-brown, olive-yellow at the edge; the margin is initially tucked up, then straight; it is not water-intensive.

Thin, uneven, notched, densely set, at first intensely orange, later rusty-black, olive-black; straight or uneven blade, sometimes with rust-colored spots.

Stem 20 to 80 mm high, up to 0.7 mm thick, slender, cylindrical, dry, silky shimmering, yellow, yellow-green above, with remains of quickly disappearing yellowish veil, covered with brown fibrils at the bottom.

Flesh with only the center fleshy, pale yellow; at the bottom of the stem slightly darker, unchanging, with an unpleasant, bitter taste and a weak, musty, radish odor.

Occurrence: On the ground, in mountain, mossy and damp spruce forests, sometimes under pine trees or in deciduous forests, quite common, grows in groups. From August to October.

Value: Inedible and even poisonous fungus, contains orellanin that damages the kidneys.
