
Boletus subappendiculatus The hat is 50 to 130 mm in diameter, initially hemispherical, with an incurved margin, later arcuate, puffy, and fibrous; when young, yellow-brown, faint-brown, then even red-brown.
Tubes in their youth are light yellow, then lemon yellow, olive green, at the intersection with a brownish shade, but they do not change color.
Pores first golden yellow, with age olive, golden brown; after compression, unchangeable.
Stem 50-120 mm high, 15-40 mm thick; in his youth he was ovoid-barrel-shaped, then irregularly cylindrical; the base is conically rooted; surface of yellow, sometimes with fading, delicate mesh, bottom brownish.
The pulp is hard first, then rather soft; yellow, in the base of the pinkish stem; taste and smell almost imperceptible, weak, pleasant.
Occurrence: In coniferous forests, mostly in the south of our country, under spruce and fir; on acidic soil; grows individually or in small groups. From July to September.
Value: Mushroom, very tasty.
