This mushroom can be found in Europe from August to October. Most often it is found in coniferous forests, where there are a lot of spruce and fir trees. It grows less often in mixed and deciduous forests with beech, birch and pine trees.
Tego grzyba można spotkać w Europie od sierpnia do października. Najczęściej występuje w lasach iglastych, gdzie jest dużo świerków i jodeł. Rzadziej rośnie w lasach mieszanych i liściastych gdzie występuje buk, brzoza, sosna.

It is matte and smooth to the touch.
Kapelusz może mieć średnicę do 8 cm, długość nóżki również może osiągnąć 8 cm. Młody owocnik ma półkolisty kapelusz, później stożkowaty, dzwonkowaty a na starość rozpostarty z garbkiem. Kolor kapelusza jest rdzawo-brązowy, miedziano-brązowy, czerwono-brązowy. W dotyku jest matowy i gładki.

The leg is quite massive and can be over 1 cm in diameter. It is cylindrical and flexible. In a young fruiting body it is full inside, becoming empty with age. In cross section, it is orange, golden yellow.
Nóżka jest dość masywna i może mieć ponad 1 cm średnicy. Jest walcowata, elastyczna. U młodego owocnika jest pełna w środku, z wiekiem staje się pusta. W przekroju ma kolor pomarańczowy, złoto-żółty.
The flesh has a delicate flavor and aroma reminiscent of a radish. The fungus is very poisonous. The middle of the hat has quite thick flesh, the closer to the edges, the thinner it becomes. Color in the cross section: dirty yellow, olive green.
Miąższ ma delikatny smak i zapach przypominający rzodkiew. Grzyb jest bardzo trujący. Środek kapelusza posiada dość gruby miąższ, im bliżej brzegów tym staje się on cieńszy. Kolor w przekroju brudno-żółty, oliwkowy.
