Foodbook #792 ham and cheese pie


Good morning my friends, a delicious pie for today , is there anything better??? No I think cause everyone loves it . Let’s do this together


1 packet of puff pastry

250 gr. sliced ham, cut into cubes

120 ml milk, whole

90 gr. gruyere, grated

60 gr. regatta, grated

5 eggs, medium + 1 yolk, for the spread

4 tbsp. tomato sauce ready

¼ κ.γ. nutmeg, grated



Poppy seed, for sprinkling

Sesame, for sprinkling



Pour the milk, eggs into a bowl and beat with a hand whisk until fluffy.

Then add the ham, gruyere, regatta. nutmeg, season with salt and pepper and mix well.
Then, butter a round pan with a diameter of 30cm. and spread a sheet of puff pastry on its surface.
Then, spread the tomato sauce on top evenly, pour the filling and cover with the other puff pastry sheet. If we see that the sheet is left over, we cut around the perimeter and turn the edges inwards, in order to close the pie well.
Then, spread with the yolk, sprinkle with sesame and poppy seeds, make small holes in the pie with a flat knife and bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C in the air for 1 hour.
Finally, remove the ham cheese pie from the oven, leave it to cool, cut into pieces and serve.
