Good morning my friends, I know Easter is far away but I really like this cookie and I must try this recipe to see the results, so let’s give this a try together .


240 gr. butter at room temperature
160 gr. sugar
1 egg yolk at room temperature
75 ml (5 tbsp.) Milk
30 ml (2 tbsp.) Brandy
Σ KS baking powder
500 gr. soft flour
1 egg for spreading


Beat the butter in the mixer until fluffy.
Add the sugar and stir until melted.
I continue pouring the yolk, milk and brandy.
Finally, after mixing the flour with the baking powder, I gradually put them in the mixer, stirring with the hook until it becomes a fluffy buttery dough that does not stick to the walls of the bucket.
Cover with cling film and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
I take balls and shape them into a string, fold it in half and rotate its two parts to form a braid. After turning three times I cut the rest and join the ends.
I place them in the pan at a distance from each other so that they do not stick when they are cooked.
Mix with a beaten egg a little water and spread the cookies on top.
Bake them on the middle grill, in a preheated oven on the heating elements at 180 * C for 25 minutes.
I take them out, leave them to cool and store them in an airtight container so that they do not get moisture.
