DogemonGO - Week-1

By ga38jem | Crypto Events | 6 Sep 2021

As published in my last post, I wanted to keep you updated on my progress in Dogemon Go. In this post I will talk about the first few days, what my strategy was and will be as well as the rewards I was able to obtain. In the last part I will explain the next step in this little project.

STATS EXPLAINED

Before we jump into my strategy and results I wanted to draw a quick overview of the content so far. In my first few days I was able to catch only three different Dogemon. These are the Etherfant, Bion and Floki. Each of them are based on a certain coin which is very creative in my opinion.

When you catch one of those you get rewarded in DOGO Credits. The amount is as follows:

  • Etherfant gives 0.12 DOGO Credits
  • Bion gives 0.18 DOGO Credits
  • Floki gives 0.3 DOGO Credits

As mentioned previously you are also able to catch some real Doge coin which are worth about 0.01 Doge Coin.

STRATEGY

With this in mind we can proceed to my strategy in the first few days. It was clear that this game is not for people who are trying to make the quick buck. I also don’t think that you can get crazy rich from this game. Especially not if you only have a few hours to spare in the day.

With this being said my strategy is to consistently play this game every day for about 30-60 min. I think you can play it on the way to and from work. Every now and then you can log in and catch a few dogemon which can make you about 0.12-1.2 DOGO credits. If you are lucky you can stumble upon a Doge Coin and make immediately some “money”. (If you can call a fraction of a penny money.)

In my mind I am currently thinking that everything can be summed up at the end of a week and 7 days in a week can generate you a good progress in the game.

RESULTS SO FAR

With this strategy used I was able to reach Level 8 after 3 days. I think I played about a total of two to three hours. I noticed that the higher level you get, the more dogemon appear which is nice, because this way you can catch more dogemon in one session which also means you can level higher. I like to think of it as progressive growth.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find any new dogemon which I can show. I really hope that there wold be more to find when I level up. Because after three days already people might get kinda bored of only the same three dogemon. At this point I am not willing to give up searching for new kinds though.

Furthermore, I noticed that the more DOGO Credits you are holding the more passive rewards you are getting. So this is another stimulus for the players to keep growing more. So far my rewards weren’t the biggest by I am also only playing for about 3 hours in total now.

FURTHER STEPS

To sum it all up: So far I am still very motivated to dedicate a portion of my time to this game. It brings me back into the time before the pandemic when the Pokemon Go hype was real. To look at this form the earning point of view, I am seeing this game as a grinding game. I think it has potential to reward people. For this to happen you have to dedicate some time into it. I will give it a fair shot for at least a month and will document it frequently!
