My first Blockchain game experience.

My first Blockchain game experience.

Time passed and I gained a lot of experience in the blockchain. But I left money on the way and it is part of the process. When you are better prepared and know what you are facing, that lost money will come back faster than you think. It is painful to lose money, I know, but I assure you: That money will come back because you will know how to do things better and you will know how to handle your feelings much better.

Now I will tell you about my first steps in blockchain games, which you will imagine what game I am talking about, right? Yes, AXIE INFINITY, those alien things that are not known until now what they were but that gained a lot of popularity back in 2021. When you don’t have enough money, it’s hard to hunt for opportunities where money is required.

The AXIES were so popular that everyone wanted to play and have a team to generate returns. But unfortunately the characters were so expensive($1000 each NFT) that people started looking for alternatives to not miss out, that translates to that in AXIE INFINITY there was a lot of FOMO, then that’s when the opportunities appear and I didn’t want to miss out. I prepared an AXIE team with 3 other teammates and each one invested what they could to create a team. I invested $200 and each of my teammates received a proportional of the profits in $SLP obtained by their investment.  I remember as if it had been yesterday. The profits I obtained were quite good the first months and then, as usual, the $AXS & $SLP currency started to dump and the $SLP profits too. Additionally, I had invested $50 in $AXS when it cost $60 and for my luck the price rose to $140 in its ATH. I took profits and let $20 run which later were worth nothing.

My investment was $200:

First month: $45 return in $SLP. Pretty good.
Second month: $41 return in $SLP. Very good.
Third month: $32 return in $SLP. Very good. At least it was still profitable.
Fourth month: $20 return in $SLP. Here the decline of $AXS and the profits began. It felt like we were getting less and less.
Fifth month: $15 return in $SLP. Not bad.
Sixth month: $14 return in $SLP. Not bad.
Seventh month: $10 return in $SLP. Here we directly started to question whether to accumulate the profits and distribute every two months or think about quitting playing.
The eighth month of play, I generated $8 return in $SLP and the ninth $5.

In total, it was $190 return and in the next months I received another $4, I recovered my investment, but we stopped distributing profits because the Ethereum network was expensive.
The most important thing was to recover the investment and the experience gained with AXIE INFINITY. The conclusions I took from this game were:
-Blockchain games sooner or later die because users take profits and leave.
-The native currency falls sharply when the FOMO ends.
-The FOMO ends and with it the liquidity in the game.
-The reward token always ends up dying.
-Always take profits and recover the investment.
-Always analyze the potential profits and the risks to run.

After that experience in AXIE INFINITY, I decided never to invest in a blockchain game again unless I am lucky enough to have a “whitelist” or “allowlist” and it is hard to get.
Several months passed and I accumulated more experience. I understood a lot about the crypto ecosystem and now I understood how things worked.

And suddenly, $PVU appeared with “PLANTS VS UNDEAD” game , the copy of Plants vs zombies.

In this game I did not participate because it was the same as with “AXIE INFINITY”, invest a fortune so that in the end the price of $PVU falls and risk not recovering the investment. I simply invested $50 in $PVU at the beginning and was able to make a profit but it was not much, just $30 because I was afraid of losing everything.  I prefer to leave with profits than to risk everything.

I left the rest of the money in $PVU and then $PVU died as it usually happens with all blockchain games.

If there are opportunities in blockchain games, I just enter the native currency, I don’t play. We know how things are, right?

And you? Have you played blockchain games? How was your experience? Comment and let’s share our experiences together so next time we know what to do and what not to do.

Until next time and stay tuned because I have a good story to tell you.

My first steps in cryptocurrencies
My first steps in cryptocurrencies

Like every human being, when we start to try new things or that take us out of our routine, we can feel uncomfortable. Thanks to a friend, I was able to get interested in looking for information about cryptocurrencies and how they works. At that time, back in 2020. I worked in a computer office as a computer technician and wanted a change in my life. I was tired of keeping schedules and the worst of all, as many would imagine, the salary was not enough and I did not know another way to generate income.
