Have You Ever Ridden an Excavator Bucket?

What travel brings us is not only the unknown, and sometimes unique experiences await us. Experiences that may not seem very significant at first and that we don’t think of them as a wish or even a reasonable desire, experiences that we never imagine would happen, but they do and their impacts stay for us.

On one of the bike trips, we got distracted from the main road and when we tried to get back, we deviated far more and found ourselves in a situation that construction workers blocked our way. They were working and installing gas pipes in the ground. Large pipes blocked our way and we had to cross the pipes somehow.

We had no choice, we lifted the bikes by the hand and threw them over the pipes to the other side. But when we wanted to go the other way through the pipes, it seemed harder than it looked. Men would do it easier but I was stuck!

All of a sudden, I saw the driver of the excavator lower the giant bucket of his machine and put it in front of us on the ground and said: If you want I’ll help you pass!

The truth was that I could have eventually pushed myself through the giant pipes with a little force and throw myself over there. But I felt that an exciting passion had invaded my veins and I wanted to not miss this exceptional opportunity and try it.

So along with a very noisy boy cyclist, we jumped into the excavator bucket and experienced an exciting and exceptional ride.

I still can’t believe it! Maybe we've had thousands of similar rides in the playground when we were kids, and maybe some of them were a lot more exciting and scary than this one. But it was something else entirely!

When I go riding on my bike, the world around me becomes exciting and so elegant all at once, so despite the shortcomings, disasters and horrors… I embrace it. I know it is not just me having these feelings, but I’m definitely another nature lover looking for unanswered questions in an extraordinary manner as well. I cherish the pictures caught by my camera and the ones remained forever in my essence.
