Today I would like to share with you a little exchange I found while trying to convert my etn into some real cash. Artis Turba is a South African exchange based in Gauteng, the most business province in my country. I have been using it for a while buying cryptocurrencies as well as using their AARP (Artis Affiliate Rewards Program).

Sketchy transactions

One of the most convenient and sketchy things that I liked about the platform is that in order to deposit money on to the platform you had to send money to one of their bank accounts with a particular reference number. At first, I was a bit scared but my risk paid off and I wasn't scammed. This was very convenient for me at the time since my debit card wouldn't allow online transactions. (Normally I ask a friend or family member to do it for me) Now I am happy I have somewhere to buy my own crypto without anybody else knowing.

Is AARP some kind of salad?

No, AARP is not a salad. It is a rewards program for holding there native token, ARTIS. For hodling their token you get a share 50% of the transaction fees depending on how much you hodl. It is great but the trading volumes are quite low at an abysmal 24 volume of $6500 as of writing. Trading fees are 0.25% between crypto pairs and 1% between fiat to crypto. I'm not going to be the first one to tell you you won't be a millionaire because of this. I have about 2750 ARTIS and over 22 days I made around 116 sats. Final words

I think this was a great start for me to get into crypto but I have to move on. I will probably still be buying my crypto here but I want to move to a more serious exchange like kucoin where there is more trading pairs and a lot more rewards. I'm excited to see how Artis Turba will turn up in the future and only time will tell if I will regret this decision.
