Did the time I served in the military prepare me for Cryptocurrency? Did being an engineer provide me with the knowledge to understand this technology? I can only speculate but When I was in the military, on the ship, we could not take the engine apart while the ship was deployed for obvious reasons. The only thing we could do was to monitor the temperature gauges, and monitor the fluid levels. Then when the ship was in port, we would do any major work on the engines.
In what is a direct pattern, while the miners or deployed, or running, we can only observe and monitor the temperature and ensure that the miner is still on the correct mining pool. Only when we switch the miner out and deploy another one, we can now do maintenance and keep the miner working.
Now that I really think about it, while in the military you had your focus on whatever the mission was at hand. The same is true with cryptocurrency, the focus is on the mission that you have set for yourself to achieve. Discipline and focus are two of the major traits that allow you to succeed not only in cryptocurrency, but also with life.
If I had to do it all over again, I would still join the Military to protect my country and people that I love dearly. One can not help but wonder if the military, by design, was there to better prepare you for anything that may come your way. The military uses logic and reasoning, as any engineer would, in order to troubleshoot problems with the equipment on board. The same troubleshooting techniques are used on the miners on a daily basis.
Being an engineer in the military taught me to be able to think quick on my feet, and also be able to come up with a plan to fabricate anything we needed at a moments notice. This is true for the computers that CPU and GPU mine. There are time where you will have to come up with a new way to build a computer rig in order to accomplish exactly what you want to accomplish.
I believe that my years in the military helped me learn the necessary skills to produce and use this currency, and to understand it’s technology. For those of you that are not involved in cryptocurrency, I can only say this statement that was told to us when we were choosing the job we wanted to have, “ Choose your rate, Choose your fate.”
