When it comes to your financial security, you need to remember that with cryptocurrency it is your responsibility to keep your wallet secure.
I am going to go over only two types of wallets here. The reason behind this is simple, I prefer wallets with multi coins, and those wallets give you a seed for you to write down and store in a secure location.
A wallet seed is a group of words that you will have to type in in order to restore your wallet on another device. Only you should have access to that information. The best option is to purchase a small book where you can label which wallet you are in and what the seed words are.
Let us take a look at two different wallets. There are others out there, but these two I use personally and I have had no problems with them when I needed to restore them on a new computer.
COINOMI

Coinomi is not just a wallet for multiple coins, it has the ability to swap coins within your personal wallet. This makes it very useful for miners as well as individuals who want to also switch to coins they speculate will increase in value. Coinomi allows you to install on a desktop or a mobile device. When you create a new wallet you are shown a new set of words known as a seed. In order to secure your wallet it is recommended that you write those words down in a book and store them where you know where they are.
Once you have your seed you can restore that same wallet on any device. For example if you have the wallet on your laptop for main use, you can download the application on your mobile device, type in your seed and that very same wallet will be available to you on the go.
EXODUS

Another wallet that is the same is the Exodus Wallet. This wallet is much the same as the Coinomi wallet, however it does not have many of the coins. This wallet also has a seed that you will need to write down. This wallet is designed in a similar way as you can swap coins within the wallet.
Exodus, just like Coinomi wallet can be used on your computer or mobile device. The amount of coins you need to swap vary depending on the amount of the coin.
With the innovation of the block Chain technology, cryptocurrency has taught us one important lesson. That lesson is that self responsibility is the primary role in taking control of our financial freedom. Cryptocurrency also teaches us that in order to have full control of our wealth and our lives we must take self responsibility to ensure that we protect the very things that keep us free and independent.
