If you’re looking for historic and very old types of melody, song, and poetry, Persian music gives the best opportunity in this regard.
Saadi is one of the prominent poets of Iran and had an undeniable influence on the Persian language; So that there is a significant similarity between modern Persian speaking and the language used in Saadi's poems.

His works have long been taught in schools and libraries as a source of teaching Persian language and literature, and many common proverbs in the Persian language have been adapted from his works.
Unlike many contemporary or earlier poets, he adopted simplification and brevity and was able to achieve great fame - even during his lifetime.
Saadi's works are called “simple/difficult” as, in them, explicit or implicit punctuation and humor are observed.

Of course, his love poems are usually performed in the form of songs, and this is understandable. Saadi's humorous and ironic poems have not been worked much with music, however, even in his love poems, he has sharp ironies and metaphors that are worth pondering.
Here I chose the song " Del Navaz " meaning (Melodious). The performance of this old song by Shajarian(s) (father and son) excited me and is really charming.
Song: Del Navaz (Melodious)
Singers: Mohammadreza & Homayoun Shajarian (Father and Son)
Lyrics:
Your heart does not unite with me
And I have a heart that knows no patience!
Is there an eye open on you...
And tears didn’t flow out of it all life because of that?!

You only have one flaw
That even though your beauty is indescribable
You don’t know kindness whatsoever!

What kind of lover doesn’t have a painful moan ?!
What kind of love fest is void of crying sounds ?!
(The poet believe love is passionate and that passion must be seen visually)

They gave Saadi the passion of love with breast milk
(It seems that the passion of love has been in Saadi since he was an infant)
Because even though he is old, his desires have not changed.
