Tether Tightens it's grip

Tether is going deeper into Bitcoin - not just with its USDT stablecoin rolling out on Bitcoin and Lightning, but by committing actual hashrate to the Ocean mining pool. It’s not just a technical pivot; it’s a power move.

Ocean, once caught in a tug-of-war over “spam” transactions like Ordinals, is now the darling of Tether’s decentralization play. Backed by El Salvador and championed by Tether’s Paolo Ardoino, Ocean’s ethos of transparency and user choice seems to align perfectly with Tether’s mining ambitions. More hashrate means more blocks, more rewards, and a bigger say in Bitcoin’s future - especially as centralizing forces loom.

And when a stablecoin issuer starts nudging the gears of Bitcoin’s most foundational mechanics, you know the game’s shifting.

Meanwhile, on the Price Floor...

Bitcoin is crawling its way back - $84,500 to $85,800 today, making eyes at $86K but not quite flirting with a breakout. ETH tried to join the dance, spiking to $1,680 before ghosting back down to $1,645.

OM? Still down bad. A further 14.5% drop to $0.59 as traders look elsewhere for momentum.

Interestingly, the real spark came from something as non-crypto as AWS going dark. The outage rattled a few centralized exchanges, and in true crypto fashion, DEX darling Hyperliquid saw its HYPE token bump 5.6% as traders scrambled for safer ground.

And on the AI front - because no day in crypto is ever just about crypto - Nvidia’s fresh push into US AI infrastructure has stirred the pot. Tokens like REI, VIRTUAL, and HEU are riding the renewed buzz with solid double-digit gains.
