“Shouldn’t Meta’s shareholders benefit from the same resource allocation strategies that directors and executives likely implement for themselves?” Peck questioned, emphasizing the need for proactive financial stewardship.

Meta is not alone in facing shareholder pressure to embrace Bitcoin. Other tech giants, including Microsoft and Amazon, have encountered similar proposals in recent months. For instance, Michael Saylor, a well-known Bitcoin advocate, previously pushed for Microsoft to allocate 1% of its cash reserves to Bitcoin. Although Microsoft ultimately voted against the proposal, the discussion underscored growing interest in cryptocurrency adoption among major corporations.

Amazon is also expected to revisit its diversification strategy by April 2025, further signaling the increasing relevance of cryptocurrency in corporate finance.
