Interest in Ethereum and all cryptocurrencies spiked during December 2020 and is continuing to grow.
This is confirmed by google trends, which shows that the number of searches containing the term Ethereum has reached its All Time High, exceeding the value of last December 23rd, 2017, as you can see from the image.
This indicator is particularly significant because it indicates a growing hype that should fuel the increase in demand for Ethereum.
In this regard, I think the graph published by IMineBlocks on twitter is very interesting: "Using Google Trends data it looks like the Ethereum price lags the searches by one week. We could see the Ethereum price hit a new ATH between the 10th - 16th January."
The correlation between the number of searches for the word Ethereum and the price is evident, with a delay of about a week. Could this metric suggest that we will see a new Ethereum price All Time High? No one can say for sure, but it is very likely.
