Very last days of vacation for me and then I took the opportunity to take a picnic to Lake Campotosto, in Abruzzo in the province of L'Aquila, to take a little cool in the mountains and relax at the lake.
The day began with a couple of hours of travel starting from Rome and then the classic excursion in the mountains started:

Lunch in the legendary Trattoria da Peppina, which unfortunately I forgot to photograph ... In any case, it is a simple and authentic restaurant, where you can taste typical dishes without too many formalities and at an affordable price. If you pass by Campotosto at lunch or dinner time, a stop is a must!
