After much consideration I finally got around to installing Honeygain. The concept of selling bandwidth didn’t appeal too much to me at first. After all, it’s just reselling what I am already paying for.
On the other hand, one can see the unused contracted bandwidth as a waste of money. Reselling this unused bandwidth is just a way of reducing this waste.
Just a week after I started with Honeygain I had to shut it down.
Why did I do that?
Look at my income from Honeygain:
As you can see in 5 days, I could only collect US$ 0.37. In order to be able to receive this payment I would have to reach a balance of US$ 20. That would’ve taken me 270 days at that rate!
I am a patient person, nevertheless it is clear that this is not even close to being profitable for me.
How about referrals?
Honeygain pays you 10% of the earnings of anyone you refer to the system. That would be a way of increasing daily earnings. I obviously would not apply for this as I cannot recommend Honeygain based on my experience.
And there was also another more compelling reason for quitting Honeygain. My home network got blacklisted, blocking me from all those sites requiring captchas. I didn’t understand what had happened, but when I checked it out on Reddit there was plenty of information about this problem.
After I stopped Honeygain the problem was solved.
I hope this article will be useful to those considering joining this system. This is only my personal experience. Earnings on this system depend on your location, in my case there was not much demand in my location, others may be more fortunate.
