Mining cryptocurrency doesn’t have to be done just through your computer anymore. 🏃Blockchain technology is now rewarding you for walking and staying fit. You can mine cryptocurrency just by going for a morning jog!

My husband Lasitha Menaka and I started last month on these apps to give us additional motivation for working out. As athletes we really like the concept of combining crypto with exercise. We have tested and tried a bunch of them; Actifit and Lympo are our favorites.

Actifit

I love using Actifit because you can earn an additional cryptocurrency on top of their AFIT tokens! Actifit rewards you in both AFIT tokens and STEEM with upvotes on your Steemit post. You get rewarded everyday you complete over 5,000 steps. Bonus rewards if you complete over 10,000 steps.

What I’ve also discovered about Actifit is that the community is also really supportive and encouraging. It’s nice to read comments from other Actifit members on my daily activity posts as well as being able to read others posts and comment back. I find it interesting to see how others are achieving their daily Actifit activities through photos and descriptions of what they are doing and how many steps they did that day.

Lympo

My second favorite app to earn crypto while working out is Lympo. The app is gorgeous. All its functions are smooth and sleek, making it a breeze to use.

Lympo tracks your activity through Apple Health or steps you take via FitBit and pays you in LYM tokens (an Ethereum based ERC-20 token).

They have different daily challenges with short distances for LYM tokens. You don’t have to post anything with it and you just have to collect your tokens after you finish your activity!

BONUS: Achievement is another activity app that rewards you for health surveys and even sleeping in addition to daily exercise. It pays via points instead of crypto and is only available in the U.S. at this time.

What’s great is you can use do one workout and earn on all three apps!
