convert Ampleforth token to ETH using coinbase wallet and uniswap

Maybe, if you are reading this, you will have some Ampleforth tokens in your publish0x account, and maybe you wonder how you can change it to another token. Then you are in the right place. This post tries to explain to you how to convert Ampl to ETH, for example, in the Uniswap blockchain service. For being fair, it's really easy using a laptop and a mobile phone. Keep on reading and you will see it. :)

1st Step

- Open the https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap url on your laptop.

2nd Step

- Click the connect wallet button, top right corner.

3rd Step

- From the popup window choose the coinbase wallet

4th Step

- A popup window is shown with a QR code that you have to scan with your coinbase wallet app.Open your coinbase wallet from your mobile phone and scan the QR code. Use the scan icon for that. The righter square icon.

Once you have scanned the QR code, you have to accept the messages to link your wallet with uniswap. Say ok to everything and that's all.

5th Step

- From your laptop, on the uniswap page, you have to select the tokens from and to, in this case from Ampl to ETH. You can see the transaction details, the fees and the conversion route. Take care of this information. If you think that everything is ok, you can continue to click on the Approve Ampl button.

6th Step

- Once you have clicked the button to continue with the transaction, a popup message will be prompt in your mobile phone, on your coinbase wallet. It's the confirmation payment. You can see how much cost the transaction. The message is really clear. If you proceed, you have to pay at least 2.24$ in fees (in my case). So it's up to you to keep on with the process or not. If you confirm, the conversion is done and you will have the ETH tokens in your account. Maybe the process takes a little bit, but it's normal.
