Dear Readers,
In the series of prioritize our health articles, we are going to discuss yet another important thing that is related to the health with this article.
A problem common to all of us in the alcoholic community is "NEGLECT".
We all should understand that Health is the real Wealth.
Every disease shows its symptoms first as signals to the respective person.
Even in the advanced stage of the disease, others will notice it. However in the hectic life, we are all flying in search of things everyday.
However, we don't have time to stop and observe the exact changes happening in our body.
When there is so much concern about the care that should be shown after the disease occurs, about preventing it before it occurs.
Nobody thinks that hard. If you come, you can take care of it.
No need for these empty assumptions like I don't get it- My parents didn't- So there is no chance for me to come etc., Such a mentality prevails among us.
We may came out of this too in all our lives.
Yet, it is important to be aware of our body and the diseases it carries.
I find that if one person in the family is aware of this, it makes the biggest positive changes in the family.
Better to save before you come. Prevention is better than cure.
In preventing disease, It has four steps:
1. Basic Preventive Measures:
This is primordial prevention. That is, there are specific risk factors for each disease.
Example:
The impact of diabetes on society is very high
Our consumption of starches has increased alarmingly, especially refined starches, refined sweets and beverages.
Also a lifestyle that does not give importance to physical work - Sleep deprivation - Addictive habits including alcohol and smoking - Stress - Increasing digital aggression on a daily basis.
have been identified as risk factors
Apart from these, our body also contains genes that predispose to diabetes.
Well these are all diabetes and obesity
Blood pressure is a common risk factor for all.
These risk factors are present in our children from birth are prevailing around them.
In a household, children eat what their parents eat; Children also reflect the importance of physical labor at home.
Consequently, Obesity among children is increasing at an unprecedented rate. Once upon a time there were mothers who asked for nutrition tonic to give them nutrition. Now the time has come to ask my boy to give their children a suitable diet to lose weight.
Type 1 diabetes is rarely diagnosed in children. (Type I is a condition where insulin is not secreted completely. Insulin injections are required). But now we are seeing children who develop type two diabetes at the age of ten years and fifteen years.
All these show how even the basic preventive measures are not practiced among us.
As a result, the incidence of infectious diseases among children and young adults is increasing.
Okay, now let's move on to the next level of disease prevention.
2. Primary preventive measures:
Primary Prevention
First-line disease prevention is taking steps to reduce exposure to disease-causing risk factors in the environment. That is until now People who do not have diseases like PCOD, diabetes, obesity etc, they need to follow these in order not to get these diseases in future.
- A low-starch lifestyle; Control of sweet taste; Addiction to alcohol, smoke and other drugs
- Daily physical exercise
- Emphasis on peace of mind
- Proper timing and good quality sleep
It is not cruel to examine the health of one's body from time to time.
Vaccines are lifesaving when it comes to some life-threatening infectious diseases.
It is to adhere to these primary prevention measures
Most of us do not give importance to this either.
The next preventive measure
3. Secondary Prevention:
When both of the above are not done; at one age, the above diseases come and go. Even now ignoring its symptoms- The disease is not diagnosed early.
There is a vocabulary saying that "In Western countries people see symptoms of diseases immediately but it takes time to see their doctors in person
In other countries in the developing countries like here in India people ignore the symptoms of diseases and slow down the time but see the doctors immediately and quickly in person."
Even if the disease is diagnosed, there is a wide gap in adequate follow-up and treatment.
Thus to themselves, Diabetic hypertension occurs after obesity
If you make life style changes like treatment + monitoring + diet + exercise + mental health + proper sleep, you can avert various causes from these diseases and Impacts and long-term effects such as
Heart and cerebrovascular occlusion, Kidney disease, Liver disease etc.,
Many such effects can be prevented from occurring itself.
Next level from here is Tertiary disease prevention
4. Tertiary prevention:
As a result of the aforementioned diseases, for those with organ damages.
These are damage control measures to further reduce the impact on their lifetime.
People with coronary artery occlusion- Those who underwent bypass surgery-Those who have stents
Those undergoing dialysis etc.,
As such the majority are with the elderly.
Tertiary prevention measures are efforts to prevent further damage with these health illness through therapeutic exercise and with some special diets.
But even at this stage, because of laziness- The diseases will be still progressing.
Do you agree that the proper treatment and monitoring necessary to prevent this?
What is my curiosity?
In these four preventions I mentioned above, just strengthen the first two types of immune structures for us and our offspring
For those asking- I hope it will be better; I don't have diabetes; Why I have to be on this diet?
I hope this post will be the perfect answer.
See you again in an other interesting post!
