Revolut adds one more perk to its Ultra plan

Revolut just added another perk to its Ultra plan, and it's a nice perk, mostly because it's quite useful.

I got an email from Revolut, asking me to activate my eSIM.

Totally free of charge, gratis, and for nothing.

Except of course, I'm on the Ultra plan, which is quite expensive.

Still, it's always better to have more stuff included than less.

The 'free' eSIM card gives you 3 GB of data that you can use globally, in 108 countries, which is pretty good.

The list of countries include included is extensive, but not infinite.

I haven't double checked, but it looks like all 27 EU countries are included, along with Albania, Argentina, Australia and NZ, Brazil, Canada, China, El Salvador, India, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, the UAE, the UK and the USA.

The eSIM plan automatically renews every month.

The rise of global eSIM

Several providers and companies are now offering global eSIMs, that you can use across different countries.

This is kind of a big deal because while roaming agreements aren't new, they're generally restricted to certain regions.

You might be able to find a plan that you can use in the US in Canada, or the UK and then France and Albania, but it used to be very difficult to find a plan you could use in all the affirmation countries without ever having to do anything about it.

This is changing now.

Most people use Airalo, which also includes regional plans, but you're limited in terms of global options.

Another SIM card I've been using is Dent, which I also got for free (but una tantum, only the first 3GB plan was free) with CoinMarketCap.
