Everyone knows the English Premier League is the wealthiest league in the world (well, aside from the Saudi League, maybe), and we often hear about how much the highest paid players make.
Mind you what we never hear about is how much the lowest paid players make. And guess what? They still make more per month than some of us can make in a year.At (joint) number 10, 9, 8 and 7 we've got Sheffield United's Max Lowe and George Baldock, Wolverhampton Wanderers' Tommy Doyle, and, surprise surprise, Loris Karius.
All five are on £10,000 (ca $12,500) per week.
Loris Karius is mostly famous for his horrendous performance during the 2018 Champions League final. He now plays as a back-up keeper for Newcastle United.
The 6th position is occupied by Kourtney Hause, who plays as a left back for Aston Villa. He's on £8,077 ($10,000) per week.
Hause rose through the ranks through hard work, you've gotta give him that.
He spent two years in League Two, two in League One and five in the Championship before making his Premier League debut in 2018-2019.
Well, when I say 'debut', I mean he was part of the roster, but he never got actually any playing time.
So he went back to the Championship for half a season, and when Aston Villa got promoted to the Premier League, he stayed.
At number 5 and 4, you have Pelly Ruddock Mbanzu and James Shea, who are playing for Luton Town at £7,500 ($9,300) per week.Shea, a goalkeeper, spent most of his career between League One and League Two, with around 40 games in total in the Championship.
He's yet to make his Premier League debut.
Mpanzu is a midfielder, and he's younger. He has a few EPL games to his name.
On the lower step of the podium, at number 3, is Jordan Clark, who also plays for Luton Town.
A winger, Clark is exactly the sort of player you might find yourself using while playing FIFA.
Among others, he's played for Scunthorpe United, Shrewsbury Town and Accrington Stanley. He's on £5,000 ($6,200) per week.At number 2, we have Rhys Norrington-Davies, who's on £4,000 ($5,000) per week at Sheffield United.Born in Saudi, Norrington-Davies is actually a full Wales international. So far he's earnt 13 caps and scored one goal for Wales.
Last but not least, at no 1, is our hero Alex Mighten.
Born in the US but eligible to play for England as well, Mighten is currently on loan in Belgium, but apparently Nottingham Forest is still paying his salary, which is £3,462 ($4,312) per week.
