We have all grown up in a world where it takes money to make money. A place where it was hard to ever get ahead if you were having a difficult time financially. However, the world has been changing radically and one of the biggest reasons is because of cryptocurrency. With the internet and crypto working in tandem, there are endless opportunities to make money; even if you don’t have a lot to begin with.
One of these greatest opportunities is through crypto airdrops. By simply being knowledgeable about the market, researching, being active, and investing a little money upfront. You could qualify for several airdrops that are often worth several thousands of dollars. Qualifying for just one of these airdrops could be enough to jumpstart any portfolio. And qualifying for more than one could be life-changing for many people.
The only factor that will determine your success is how much will and determination you have.
During the last cycle, we saw airdrops for projects such as Uniswap, Optimism, Arbitrum, and the list goes on.
As we are heading into the next bull cycle we are beginning to see the next wave of airdrops hit the market. On Solana, we have already seen Pyth, Jito, and Jupiter all release or announce airdrops. This not only caused an onslaught of attention to the Solana ecosystem but has caused a frenzy throughout the entire cryptocurrency market. People are wondering about what airdrop could be next, and what they need to do to become eligible for it.
In fact, in recent weeks you may have noticed that I have been posting much less frequently than usual. During that time I have been devoting much more attention towards farming for airdrops. During the last cycle, I received airdrops for Uniswap, Arbitrum, and a few others. But I regretted not putting in more effort. I have been working hard to correct that mistake this time around. I have the goal of not just becoming eligible for 1 or 2 airdrops but am aiming for more than 10. An amount that could be life-changing. Especially with the number of wallets that I have been farming with.
In this article, I won’t be telling you the exact steps that I am taking for each potential airdrop. Others can do that much better than me. However, you will find that most criteria are very similar. Bridging to that blockchain, swapping/trading, staking, performing transactions, using for several unique months, volume, and so on.
With that said, I will tell you the airdrops that I am heavily targeting currently. As I mentioned above. Life-changing wealth can be made in the cryptocurrency market. The determining factor is just how badly you want it, and how much effort you devote.
1. zkSync
zkSync is a trustless Layer 2 protocol for scalable low-cost payments on Ethereum, powered by zkRollup technology. It is a user-centric zk rollup platform from Matter Labs, with security, user experience, and developer experience as the core focus.
Once the Aribitrum airdrop was given out at the beginning of 2023, my attention immediately focused toward zkSync, and have been farming it ever since.

2. LayerZero
One of the projects that I’m most excited about in the crypto market is LayerZero. It seeks to provide a solution to one of the most pressing issues that blockchain technology is facing today — interoperability. It is an interoperability protocol that uses a novel technique to make it easier for different blockchain networks to connect with each other. Being able to seamless bridge/swap between different protocols without the need for centralized exchanges is one of the most vital needs in the market.

3. Starknet
Similar to zkSync, I have been farming Starknet for several months now. Starknet is another layer 2 that will make Ethereum more scalable. While the Solana ecosystem currently has the most attention during this airdrop FOMO season. Very soon the Ethereum ecosystem will at the very forefront.

4. MarginFi
Unfortunately I missed out on both the Pyth and Jito airdrops in the Solana ecosystem and vowed not to miss the next one. From all accounts it seems that MarginFi could be the next hyped airdrop to drop. Something interesting about MarginFi is that you accrue points by using the system. I have been lending, borrowing, stakig, and swapping to boost my points as quickly as possible.

5. SCROLL
Scroll is another Ethereum layer 2 that is hyped and also predicted to have an airdrop in the near future. croll is a general-purpose zkEVM roll-up intended to marry Ethereum’s network security with lower fees and latency.
It just launched its mainnet in October of 2023, which means it could take some time for the eventual token airdrop to be announced. But better early than late.

6. LINEA
Linea is an Ethereum ZK-rollup designed to support developers on Ethereum. It is a fully EVM-compatible Layer-2 (L2) protocol that runs as a ZK-rollup. The fact that Linea implements a fully EVM-compatible ZK-rollup is significant because it dramatically enhances developers’ abilities to build on top of Ethereum.
Built by ConsenSys, it has one of the largest VC bankings of projects that haven’t released a token yet. Which makes a token release and airdrop much more likely.

7. BASE
The Ethereum layer 2 built by Coinbase. They have been adamant that there won’t be any airdrops. However, that is a story as old as time in the cryptocurrency market. Projects will deny the existence of a token or airdrop until they actually announce it.
Even if Coinbase doesn’t announce their own airdrop, there will be several other projects being built on Base that could relase airdrops of their own.

8. Solana, Solana, Solana..
Solana is the blockchain that reignited airdrop season and there is no reason to believe that will be stopping anytime soon. One of my biggest focuses recently has been doing a deep dive of as many Solana projects as possible. With the hopes of finding the next project to release their token.

These are just a handful of the projects and ecosystems that I’m currently heavily focused on for potential airdrops. However, the truth is that this is only the tip of the iceberg. There will be hundreds of airdrops, and they could be yours if you are willing to put in the effort. While there is no guarantee that these airdrops will ever happen. It only takes one of them being real, for it to all be worth it.
