From 5 to 99 views: What a Yaba to Oshodi danfo taught me.

A danfo park

I wrote a quiet letter two days ago.

It was for 5 people. That's all blogger showed me. 5 views.

I was happy. 5 people is a danfo row. 5 people is enough to start a conversation.

Yesterday, I was in a danfo from Yaba to Oshodi. No AC, loud music, conductor shouting "Oshodi! Oshodi!"

I was thinking: Why am i checking stats every hour? Why do I need 100 views to feel like a writer?

Then I remembered what my grandma says:"if you can feed 5 people, you can feed a street".

So I posted the letter on publish0x. Same letter. No changes. Just quiet thoughts from a loud city.

I slept.

I woke up. 97 views.

Same letter. Same writer. Different bus stop.

Lesson?

1. *Don't shout louder. Change the bus stop.* Blogger is my home, but publish0x is a busy park where people stop to listen.

2. *Danfo rides are content.* Everyone in Lagos has a danfo story. That is our universal language.

This is letter #2 from Inkcognito.

If you are reading this from Lagos, you get it. If you are reading from outside, welcome to our loud, beautiful traffic.

Thank you for the 99.

Next stop:100
