It’s been about a month since I write about Stader Labs, the protocol that allows you to maximize rewards from the staking of LUNA. Now I return to give you a brief update on the latest developments in this promising project.

LISTING ON COINLIST

First of all, on January 25th Stader conducted a sale of the SD token on CoinList. This is the first protocol on Terra to achieve this goal, congratulations to the team. Stader stakers and early community members were given priority access for the sale. This sale, however, will postpone the distribution of rewards, whose first phase was scheduled for late January. As compensation, for the stakers who will not remove their LUNAs until July 20, Stader offers a 50% APY on the rewards accrued until the Token Generating Event that, for legal reasons, can take place only after 40 days from the sale.

COMMUNITY FARMING

On January 20, the Community Farming event for the “Stake Pools” officially ended. Starting from this date, stakers will start receiving rewards in LUNA and will be able to adopt different strategies for rewards (like auto-compounding, for example). With the end of Community Farming, system fees are also introduced. For example, for auto-compounding, a 3% commission on rewards was included. Auto-compounding will also convert all stablecoins earned into LUNA.  Community Farming will continue for Liquid Staking through February 9th. For this product, you will need to Stake your LUNA in the dedicated Pool. In return, you will receive LunaX that you can place in the Liquidity Pool with the LUNA – LunaX pair and receive SD token rewards in proportion to the liquidity provided.

STAKE+

This is a real innovation for Stader. Through a change to the smart contract Stader Stake Pools, delegators will be able to choose to delegate to a single validator instead of a pool of validators as it is now, while maintaining the key features of the Stake Pools (Auto-compounding, automatic conversion of stablecoins in LUNA, airdrops). This upgrade will allow delegators who want to take full advantage of benefits offered by a single validator to do so. At the same time, validators will be able to take advantage of Stader to offer unique benefits to users who decide to delegate their LUNAs to them (such as exclusive content, airdrops, etc.). The Stake+ will benefit not only validators and delegators, but the whole Terra ecosystem, which will enjoy greater sustenance and decentralization.

SD TOKENS

SD tokens will be ERC20, which means that they’ll be on Ethereum network. This choice is dictated by the greater ease that ERC20 tokens have to be listed on major exchanges. The team is working to transfer through a bridge the SD tokens on Terra blockchain (CW20) to favor the users of this network and avoid the disproportionate fees of Ethereum.

CONCLUSIONS

The Stader project continues to grow, with over 14K wallets participating in staking in the first two months of the project’s life and over 5M LUNAs deposited. The new upgrades are certainly important, but the most appetizing news will come when the smart contract will begin to operate on the other blockchains. At that point, we’ll really see some great things.

É passato circa un mese da quando vi ho parlato di Stader Labs, il protocollo che vi permette di massimizzare i proventi derivanti dallo staking di LUNA. Ora torno a darvi un breve aggiornamento sugli ultimi sviluppi intervenuti in questo promettente progetto.

LISTING SU COINLIST

Innanzitutto, il 25 gennaio scorso Stader ha condotto una vendita del token SD su CoinList. Si tratta del primo protocollo su Terra a raggiungere questo obiettivo e per questo vanno fatti i complimenti al team. Per la vendita è stata data priorità d’accesso agli staker di Stader e ai primi membri della community. Questa vendita, però, farà slittare la distribuzione delle rewards, la cui prima fase era prevista per fine gennaio. Come compensazione, per gli stakers che non rimuoveranno i propri LUNA fino al 20 luglio, Stader offre un 50% di APY sulle ricompense maturate fino al Token Generating Event che, per motivi legali, può avere luogo solo dopo 40 giorni dalla vendita.

COMMUNITY FARMING

Il 20 gennaio si è ufficialmente concluso l’evento relativo al Community Farming per le “Stake Pools”. A partire da questa data, gli stakers inizieranno a ricevere le ricompense in LUNA e potranno adottare differenti strategie per le ricompense (come l’auto-compounding, ad esempio). Con la fine del Community Farming, vengono introdotte anche delle commissioni di sistema. Ad esempio, per l’auto-compounding è stata inserita una commissione del 3% sulle rewards. L’auto-compounding convertirà anche tutte le stablecoin guadagnati in LUNA.  Il Community Farming continuerà per il Liquid Staking fino al 9 febbraio. Per questo prodotto, sarà necessario mettere in Stake i vosri LUNA nella Pool. Riceverete in cambio i LunaX che potrete mettere in Liquidity Pool con la coppia LUNA – LunaX e ricevere ricompense in token SD in proporzione alla liquidità fornita.

STAKE+

Questa è una vera novità per Stader. Attraverso una modifica allo smart contract Stader Stake Pools, i delegators potranno scegliere di delegare ad un unico validatore (invece di un pool di validators come avviene ora) pur mantenendo le carattiristiche chiave delle Stake Pools (Auto-compounding, conversione automativa delle stablecoins in LUNA, airdrops). Questo upgrade permetterà ai delegators che vogliono sfruttare appieno i vantaggi di un singolo validatore di farlo. Allo stesso tempo, i validators potranno sfruttare Stader per offrire benefici unici agli utenti che decideranno di delegare a loro i propri LUNA (come contenuti in esclusiva, airdrop, etc.). Dallo Stake+ trarranno beneficio non solo validators e delegators, ma tutto l’ecosistema Terra, che godrà di una maggiore decentralizzazione. 

SD TOKEN

I token SD saranno ERC20, ovvero saranno su rete Ethereum. Questa scelta è dettata dalla maggiore facilità che i token ERC20 hanno di essere listati sui principali exchange. Il team è comunque a lavoro per trasferire attraverso un bridge i token SD su blockchain Terra (CW20) per favorire gli utenti di questa rete ed evitare le fee spropositate di Ethereum.

CONCLUSIONI

Il progetto Stader continua a crescere, con oltre 14K wallet che hanno partecipato allo staking nei primi due mesi di vita del progetto e oltre 5 milioni di LUNA depositati. I nuovi upgrade sono di certo importanti, ma le novità più appetitose arrivaranno quando lo smart contract inizierà ad operare anche sulle altre blockchain previste nel progetto. A quel punto ne vedremo davvero delle belle.
