IJCH - Inside JaiChai's Head (Meaning: My Warped, Personal Opinions and Musings)
From the Author:
Salutations.
I am JaiChai.
And if I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you before, I'm delighted to make your acquaintance now.
I invite you to interact with everyone, learn, and have as much fun as possible!
For my returning online friends, "It's always great to see you again!"
Alan Watts and Styx
During my usual 1.5 hour morning cardio, I was listening to a compilation of Alan Watts lectures.
Who was Alan Watts?
Alan Wilson Watts (6 January 1915 – 16 November 1973) was a British philosopher who interpreted and popularised Eastern philosophy for a Western audience.
Born in Chislehurst, England, he moved to the United States in 1938 and began Zen training in New York. Pursuing a career, he attended Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, where he received a master's degree in theology.
Watts became an Episcopal priest in 1945, then left the ministry in 1950 and moved to California, where he joined the faculty of the American Academy of Asian Studies.
I really enjoy Watts' lectures on Eastern Religions and always take away something profound from every listening.
During this morning's workout/lecture session, I thought of this quote from many years ago:
"The wonderful cycles of dramatic peaks and valleys that we call 'Life' requires only two things: the 'All' (The Observer) and its individuated - not the same as 'individual' - role players (The Observed) to manifest. Without either one of them, the show simply CAN'T go on..." - JaiChai
Before returning home from my little jog, I also kept playing this Styx tune in my head:
The Grand Illusion - Styx
BTW, if you haven't been exposed to Alan Watts, just listen to any one of the dozens of Alan Watts' videos available on YouTube.
You'll be the better for it.
REALITY.2018 - The Ultimate Game?
I settled in at my desktop and was sluriping down my post-workout protein shake (strawberry whey protein, immediate + time-released formula, 130 kcal, 23 grams protein. Carbs? Don't know, don't care).
I spent the next hour researching the differences between the i7-8700 vs Ryzen 7 1700 Processors.
After ginning up a review and shooting it off to my client, these questions popped into my mind.
What if we already knew that our realities were Grand Simulations?
Could we choose the level of "Gamer Experience"?
Would their be published standards for hardware?
And so on..
Consequently, this list immediately appeared on my mind's internal display...
Minimum Requirements to run REALITY.2018 (aka "Life")
- iGODZen 7 1700 Processor (or for under 21 y/o, the iGODZen 7 Jr. 1500)
- 32 Gigabytes Brain RAM (speed: 26600)
- Ultra Human Retinal Display (internal)
- Standard Matrix level Power Supply
Note:
High end users (meaning: rich people) may opt for a more elegant and extended experience of REALITY.
This requires additional Graphics units, more Brain RAM, an UBER high resolution Human retinal display that is infrared and ultraviolet capable, and one or more cloned Zombie Matrix Power Units.
Of course, they will also require extra water-cooled heat dissipation units and a larger rig housing for optimum airflow.
Submitted for your free moments to ponder.

Truly hope to see you again!

Believing that school was too boring, he dropped out of High School early; only to earn an AA, BS and MBA in less than 4 years much later in life – while working full-time as a Navy/Marine Corps Medic.
In spite of a fear of heights and deep water, he performed high altitude, free-fall parachute jumps and hazardous diving ops in deep, open ocean water.
After 24 years of active duty, he retired in Asia.
Since then, he's been a full-time, single papa and actively pursuing his varied passions (Writing, Disruptive Technology, Computer Science and Cryptocurrency - plus more hobbies too boring or bizarre for most folk).
