My attempting to acquire crypto while having to contend with my country's crap infrastructure and shoddy service delivery is frustrating me greatly. I think I should move to a country where access to reliable electricity and fast Internet connection are considered basic human rights, rather than luxuries for the wealthy (or at least affordable by/to the general populace). I've long fancied Spain and Italy as places I might like to live. Canada, Ireland, Scotland and somewhere in Scandinavia might be options, except the cold would probably drive me madder than I already am. Before that happens, however, a number of things need to happen for me to make my escape. Chiefly, I need to do the following:
- Finish learning cryptography
- Learn blockchain development
- Get a job in the cryptocurrency/FinTech industry, perhaps working for a DAO
- Stash enough crypto and fiat to be able to afford migrating
- Get a new ID card, since my ID book is technically no longer valid
- Renew my passport
- Possibly get an ancestral visa to Scotland (not that that's likely to do me much good, post-Brexit)
In light of that, here are this week's entries for the Noonday tune, something I post every now and then:
We'll find our own way out, somehow. (How, how, how?)
In the course of getting this post from words in my head to published, I've ended up sitting through multiple connection timeouts, partially loaded pages, refreshes (including to get the "publishing agreement"dialog), "no Internet connection" and "Oops, something went wrong ..." messages. Frankly, I'm beyond tired of this crap and the negative impact it's having on my ability to get things done efficiently/timeously.
Oh, by the way, if you're going to head over to Band Camp for the Camera Obscura track I've linked, I'd appreciate if you give my albums a listen too. Thank you.
