For the past four years or so, September has always been "a bad month for crypto", that meaning that usually the market corrects during this month of the year. That could also happen in other periods of time in the year, but September is notorious for this matter.
Quite a few "influencers" in the crypto community have spotted this pattern, and I remember @edicted also mentioning about it in some of his posts. It's true, September sucks, but what if "September fails" this year?
Wouldn't that be cool?
Well, it depends on how you see it. The way I am envisioning this change in pattern is kind of a surprise where we won't have an awaited correction, like quite a few traders are expecting and instead we will have a continuation of the August rally leading into an October blow off top.
The market often times does the exact opposite of what the participants are expecting and we might witness a contrarian action from the market in this regard this year too. I remember watching a video of RektCapital about a year ago where he was pointing towards a peak of this cycle occurring at the beginning of October, the 4th of October to be exact.
The analysis was based on previous patterns and according to those previous patterns, that's when we should expect a peak for this cycle.
If that will take place, it means that we should have an over one month euphoria phase, similar with what we've got in late 2017, "crowned with a blasting blow off top". Most of the traders and investors are waiting for December - beginning of 2022 time frame for the blow off top, but what if... the market surprises us all.
I guess nobody knows what will happen for sure and only time will tell that, but I'm taking such a scenario into account as well. I'm also thinking of a super cycle, but I honestly don't give it much chances. There's too much greedy hands that will take massive profits once we enter the mania phase dragging prices down.
Probably after the next halving we could seriously talk of a super cycle. Meanwhile, I expect a blow off top occurring sometime between October and January. What you guys think?
