I remember back in the days of the good old Steemit, there was jus a giant pile of... content generated on the platform every 24 hours that it would take you days to just go through a one day of work from the steemitans. The content was quite diverse I have to admit and there were quite a few pseudo journalists out there as far as I can remember.

Won't give any names, but some proved in their after the bull run posts that they actually weren't that much tech savvy or full of knowledge as they seemed to be. Some were doing quite good financially I'd say, earning tens of dollars a day with their blogs, with a bit of help from bots at the beginning, but overall a nice return for their efforts.

What quite a few were actually doing, especially non native English speakers, was to rewrite articles found on the internet, or indulge in what a fellow steemitan was calling grey plagiarism. That's actually not pure plagiarism and no steem cleaner would have detected it, but still one couldn't call it original work either.

There is a cure for that, or a how not to way of posting news on your blog, and most of the ones that got out of mine for example are crypto related news. It's hard to be in the middle of events and get the first hand information and also be among the early spreaders of that, I get it, most of us are taking their news from renowned crypto outlets and it's nothing bad about that.

BUT, instead of simply sharing a link with the report, or rewriting it, why not making it your own?... Take the core out of the cointelegraph report, or whatever else media outlet you follow, and wrap you ideas, comments and views around it, you might even get a better picture of the event for your readers, than cointelegraph did. And it's 100% genuine. It's yours and no one can deny it.

Connect dots if you can... That's what I usually do when posting about hot crypto news on my blog. There's always "an agenda" or an intention behind almost every event out there and getting to unveil it, or connect the dots with other related events or causes would benefit your readers much more than the simple report of something any of us could already read in the crypto mainstream media.

"Be original and score the originality point" is what I was aiming at during the Romanian exams we used to have in high-school. In order to not cheat, our teacher was promising us an extra originality point on top of what the paper work was worth. I'm still chasing that point on whatever I write about on this blog and it feels quite rewarding.

Why not do it in a funny way I'd say? I know Publish0x is not a joke, or a standup comedy stage, but sometimes it is funny how dots are connecting, or how stupid folks like Peter Schiff or Nouriel Roubini look like with every year trashing Bitcoin. Isn't it funny seeing them fighting a windmill for years and years in a row basically? I'd say it is... and laughing of fools was always my cup of tea.

Last but not least, destroy the news, and although that's possible in just a few rare cases, some news are simply bullshit and miss informative and those need to be dismantled and exposed as well as their editors. Crypto media is not too far away from the traditional media and sometimes news reports are manipulative or misleading and I find very fulfilling in exposing such tendencies and the reasoning behind them. You won't find those too often though, but they will pop up once in a while.
