Greetings Publish0x community, today I want to introduce you to one of the latest features of Litemint, a tech company that aims to break barriers and creates innovative products to connect crypto enthusiasts, collectors, and gamers to unique experiences. As a tech company, Litemint works for more than 1 sector in the crypto space. For example, they have their own ''Litemint Wallet''. Or you can play card-themed games on Litemint. But none of them is my topic, now. I want to talk about the uprising trend of crypto communities, NFTs. And how to use Litemint as a tool for minting NFT tokens on Stellar chain with near 1 dollar fee. But first, let's start with some basic knowledge.
What is Litemint, briefly?
Litemint is a platform with more than 40,000 monthly users, trying to create a new taste of online gaming by bringing entrepreneurs in the cryptocurrency ecosystem and game pioneers under one single roof. Litemint is a decentralized and open-source gaming organization created by Frederic Rezeau towards the end of 2018. It is designed in a way that everyone can use it safely and conveniently without the need for any registration process. Litemint does not only offer its users the opportunity to play games. In addition, users can create their own games on Litemint and present them to the community. The necessary documents for this can be reached through GitHub. At the same time, users can participate in Daily Challenges, earn Litemint-specific NFTs, and receive their share of various rewards created on the Stellar blockchain.

These days, my point of view about Litemint is that it is an online gaming platform with some direct token rewards in CREDITs and special NFT prizes. Now, Litemint has changed a lot. The gaming feature seems to be an auxiliary function when you count the others, especially NFT Marketplace and their own wallet function. From now on, let's continue with NFTs and the Stellar chain.
What is NFT (Non-Fungible Token)?
NFT or Non-Fungible Tokens are unique cryptocurrencies all over the world. Normally, all ETH, XLM, or BTC tokens are the same. There’s no difference between Bitcoin mined in 2010 or 2020. But NFTs are totally different. You may own more than 1 Ethereum or Stellar at the same time but all of them are copies of each other. But if we start to talk about NFTs, none of them is the same. Each NFT is minted for once and will never be minted again!
The fungible crypto assets are in circulation for lots of aims such as payment, trading, or just for holding. They have 1 exact value only and it's not determined by yourself or myself. Mostly, the value of each crypto asset is dedicated by some whales. But there is not such a mandatory phase for determining the intrinsic value of your own NFT. If you have an NFT in your wallet, you may sell it for 1 ETH or 1000 XLM. No one knows other than you! Apart from their value, NFTs are stores of your memory and fun so they have spiritual value, as well.
How to Mint NFTs on Litemint?
To start using Litemint, you should have a Stellar wallet. As I mentioned above, Litemint has its own native Stellar wallet but they recommend using Freighter wallet. Freighter wallet could be used in Chrome extension form so it fits the best for those who are using Metamask for ERC20 tokens for a while. If you don't have a Stellar wallet yet, please head over to the Freighter website and get ready for using Litemint. Then come back to continue reading :)
Now, you have a Stellar wallet and we're all ready to mint our first NFT. Now, please go to the Litemint website and connect your Freighter wallet to the website. After connecting to the website, you have an option to bind your Google or Facebook accounts. If you bind any of these accounts, you will be able to customize the account name! But be careful, it can be modified only once.
After connecting your Stellar wallet, now go to the ''Get Started - Mint Token'' page. Make sure you have prepared the photo to be minted as an NFT. Upload it and go for ''Next''.
After that, you should decide the name and the count for the corresponding token. Please give a name, write a little explanation, and decide the total token count to be minted. Then, click ''Next''.
After that, there are 2 more stages to be approved. Please approve them all and wait for your NFT to get ready.
Now, it's over. Your NFT is one click away, only. Please check all the information you submitted before and sign the transaction from your wallet to mint it. After you sign the transaction, 1.5 XLM will be deducted from your wallet. This is the total cost of minting an NFT on a Stellar chain, 1 USD only. From now on, you have NFTs. You can sell it on Marketplace or just hold it.
NFT Marketplace on Litemint is opened on the 2nd of May, 2021. Even though it's still in the beta testing phase, you get the full experience, ease of use, and fun!
