High-intensity interval training known as HIIT is very known and common today in the fitness industry. If you don't like cardio like running or cycling but you want to lose weight efficiently this may be a perfect workout to add it to your fitness routine. I decided to write about this because it helped me a lot. I never liked long cardio so Tabata definitely is a win - win combination. High intensity interval workout training (HIIT) is a form of cardiovascular exercise in a combination of short periods of intense exercise and less intense recovery period. The main benefit is that is very short and quick so you can do it anywhere. It also helps you to quickly improve your endurance and speed, increase fat burn and speed up your metabolism.
How Tabata works?
We know different types of high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Tabata is one of them. Tabata is a four (4) minutes long workout that was discovered by Japanese scientists Izumi Tabata and researchers from National Institute of Sport from Tokio, Japan. It's also scientifically proven that helps you increase your aerobic (cardiovascular) and anaerobic systems. That means it's a highly efficient method for fast calorie burn as well fast muscle gain.
Tabata work in 20 seconds long high intensity period followed by 10 seconds of rest and repeated 8 times to complete that 4 minutes. And the best part is you can do any exercise you like. It can be squats, push-ups, pull-ups or mountain climbers. Whatever muscle group you want to target. Just during the intensity period put in as much effort you can. The goal is to overcome yourself in that 4 minutes. If you are not dying for your breath at the end don't expect the right results. You have to push yourself beyond your boundries. But please be careful. It can cause dizzines and make your muscle very sore. And because you can get yourself pretty tired there is a higher risk for injuries.
Conclusion
In conclusion I recommend this workout to anyone who want to add something extra to their workout routine. It has a great impact as well on your aerobic as anaerobic systems. It's quick and effective. You can do it anywhere and include any exercise you like. You can also use some equipment like ketlleball. Also you can find many apps on your store to help you do your Tabata efficently. Check it out. I wish you all one great Tabata time!
