If you're not already using the Brave browser, you certainly ought to start!
Brave allows users to generate income in the form of cryptocurrency. You browse with the Ads setting turned on, and choose the number of ads per hour you'd like to see.
You can set the number at 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5--but in order to earn the most BAT for your browsing activity, I would recommend putting it all the way up to 5. This will reward you with a small amount of BAT each time you are shown an ad. What's even better is that Brave attempts to target you with ads you WANT to see! So at some point, it is easy to imagine it benefiting you to watch them by keeping you in the loop regarding new products and services you actually need.
Next, you can turn off the automatic tipping feature, giving yourself complete control over where your BAT goes. You can keep it, transfer it out through a service like Coinbase (sign up here if you are interested), and put it into your own bank account if you like. Or, you could move it to a service like Blockcard (available here, but beware the $10 fee!) which enables you to spend your cryptocurrency ANYWHERE THEY TAKE VISA! Which is absolutely amazing.
Most of us won't use those options, however, and will instead opt to tip certain people we happen to like on the internet. You're able to set up a recurring tip, even, to help support your favorite content creators!
In the future, I would speculate that the value of BAT seems very likely to increase, so you can purchase and hold it if you like. Advertisers will probably grow to covet BAT eventually, if the advertising tools Brave makes available turn out to be successful.
