Xenophobia

Xenophobia

She’s not unsociable,
Her fear seems unreasonable;
Just that she’s xenophobic.
She’ll not welcome you,
If you’re someone new,
As she’ll be physically sick.

Unsure when she has this illness,
To some, it looks like loneliness;
Yet, she treasures her solitude.
We don’t really understand,
Why she rejects our helping hand,
Though we’re people of rectitude.

We don’t oppose,
Instead, solutions, we propose.
It’s been going on
Long enough for her to stand.
We’ll support as long as we can,
This load is too heavy to be borne.
