Where is the Hope?

Where is the Hope?

By emily2u | From the Heart | 30 Aug 2021

Dark and winding is the road ahead
Nausea sets in as I navigate it.
This long drive that I dread
For days can't even drink or eat.

Directionless I go, alone and exhausted
No rest stop to be found.
My vision blurs, everything distorted
Is there a way to turn around?

Time moves on, the clock continues to tick
Yet, this task I've taken on.
Honestly, I'm feeling quite sick
Life, is it a sham or a con?

For miles on end, not a soul to be seen
Let alone the proverbial light.
Oh, my days that could have been
Where is the hope that should be in sight?
