Spring Blossoms

Spring Blossoms

By emily2u | From the Heart | 7 Feb 2021

I can pass the hours
Watching the spring flowers.
When the wind blows,
A blanket of petals flows.

The myriad of colors
Have me thinking I’m debtless,
Calm my distressed heart,
So tranquil, I let down my guard.

On branches, buds stay,
Blooming larger through the day,
While those dislodged by a bird,
Fall to the ground, forming a carpet.

A wayward flower circling high,
Like a flirting butterfly,
Makes me soak up the sweet air,
Place a delicate blossom into my hair.
