Blind Date

Blind Date

Went to keep an appointment,
Turned out to be a disappointment.
Felt cheated by the agent,
Assured a man fit for Mr. World pageant.

Made an effort to relax at any rate,
Though not amused with my date.
Beside an uncouth man from the East,
Was disastrous, to say the least.

Tried making it a success,
But his mind was difficult to access.
An hour in his presence,
Enough for the night to lose its essence.

As soon as dinner was over,
Straight away, I went undercover;
Could never find me again,
He was a real pain!
