Flight plan

Our next stop is Paraguay, more specifically Asunción, the capital city and the largest city in the country. Paraguay is nestled between Argentina, Bolivia, and Brazil, and it’s known for its rich cultural heritage. Spanish influence is still prevalent, as Spanish is one of Paraguay's official languages, the other being Guarani. Guarani and Spanish traditions are a lively mix in Paraguayan culture. For tourists, there are stunning natural landscapes in Paraguay, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.

Waiting pushback

In the morning, we finished our flight plan. The weather was clear and warm, as it always is at this time of year in South America. It looked like good weather to take a flight again. We had some birdwatchers with us flying to Paraguay. It is good to have some paying customers as it's not cheap to fly an A310 around the world.

After take off

Flight preparations were all done, and we were ready to take off. ATC gave us instructions to taxi to runway 1. Takeoff was challenging; I thought the runway might be too short and it felt like it would end too soon, but we got up and flew before it ended.

Flight crew

We had a low-level flight today. I asked ATC if we could fly lower so we could have better views during our flight and ATC approved. I was happy with their decision, and I hope our customers were as well. We had great views in Uruguay and southern Paraguay as well.

Arriving to Asuncion

Landing was nice and smooth. The autopilot worked as it should, and there were no issues at all. ATC was friendly and welcomed us to Asunción. The weather here at our destination was also good, warm, and clear. I really needed a beer in my hotel lounge bar when I arrived.
