Holiday season is over, and we head back to work. I managed to book a charter flight for a tourist group to fly them from Buenos Aires to Montevideo. This is great because our next stop is Uruguay.

Our world tour continues with a charter flight to Uruguay on 2nd January. The weather is quite hot, 33°C and sunny. I’m happy that our air conditioner is working in the plane; otherwise, it would not be so nice to wait for takeoff clearance on the taxiway. We started boarding at 10am, and we were ready to ask directions to the runway.

Waiting for take off

After pushback, we headed to the taxiway. We had to wait for a few planes to take off before it was our turn. Lorena flew with me again and contacted the tower for takeoff clearance. We had it, and engines roared as we shot our way along runway 29 to the sky.

Leaving from Buenos Aires

Today's flight was quite short, only 151 nm. We had to take a left-hand turn after takeoff as our heading was to the west, but we had to fly to the east. After we leveled off at our flight level 200, the autopilot activated, and we had a nice cruise to Uruguay. The views were great: we flew over the crystal-clear sea and had nice views over Montevideo as well.

Arriving to Montevideo

Lorena contacted Montevideo tower, and we received instructions for our approach. I set up the autopilot, and we were ready to bring our charter back to the ground in Uruguay. The approach and landing were smooth, and we heard some hand clapping from the cabin.

At the destination

Today we got instructions to taxi to the gate. Taxiing was not very long. The weather was still warm, 26 °C and sunny. After we got to the gate, I shut off the seatbelt lights and announced to passengers that we had arrived at our destination.
