FOR THE BENEFIT OF DOUBT

FOR THE RECORDS. Who says I'm an authority on anything? Whatever I express is my opinion and reasoning.
You agree with me, only mean we both share common THOUGHT (which is one of our fundamental right as humans) You disagree, doesn't mean I'm wrong. It's a matter of difference in opinion.
I don't need to live in fear or intimidation because I exercise my liberty or should any government segregate or deprive me because I didn't vote for it. Much less fellow citizens gag or threaten my life because I held a different view.
Resulting to violence, verbal attacks, etc isn't civil, to say the least. If you are in this line of thinking you are the disease plaguing this country.
Before making my final stand. I did a bit of exercise to evaluate my sincerity about the choices available in this year's presidential race. So I will be certain that, I'm not sentimental, judgmental, tribalistic in my disposition towards each candidates.
Whatever the outcome of the election. It should be that, the majority has decided. The people of Nigeria has made their choice known.
That! Will be better for us all. Plus we should have learnt something important that if the people want betterment the power is in their hands (PVC) to make it come to pass - the masses has the true power in a democracy not the few in the coffers of power.
Again FOR THE RECORDS. If Peter Obi wins. It is not because he is the Messiah but was fated so. It is just grace, that an angry segment of the populace believed that the old order must give way for another. Even though, that might not be the solution but at least for a chance to stop the RECYCLING¹.
Whoever emerge winner shouldn't be treated with delicate hands as usual "è fun Baba l'aye ki Baba o sanjo" where has that got us?
No quarter given, no mercy shown - if in the end we made a wrong selection, so should we be quick to right the wrong.
That way, we shall begin to believe a great Nigeria is possible in time. No need to wait till tenure is over or next election any leader failing in delivering on their promises or derailing from set agenda should be RECALLED²
Obviously, there are no saints or angels amongst us. The recent travails, the hydra headed fuel hike and cash scarcity proofed that both the leadership and the followership are guilty
The name Nigeria isn't an omen. Our self centeredness, greed and the desire to live a superfluous lifestyle (to say you are better than the others) If not, why wouldn't an eighty two years old think differently and embrace collective good rather than be racing to leave some grandeur for his family at the expense of countless majority who will suffer its consequence.
CONCLUSION
Every Nigerian should be free to vote for his/her conscience with the knowledge that voting is their right and responsibility.
If their choice wins, rejoice and not be vindictive ³ if you candidate loses don't be irresponsible by trying to throw out the baby with the bath water.
Be active opposition that will ensure proper engagement on topical issues that will make the government in power to be responsive and accountable to engender good governance and great leadership.
Thanks for reading. God bless Nigeria.
