Cosmos has pumped by 6% in the last 24 hours whereas Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and most of the other altcoins are all down.
The main reason is the launch of Terra's Mars protocol which is going through Osmosis.
What is Mars protocol?
Mars protocol is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform originally built on Terra blockchain. It offers a suite of financial applications including token issuance, stablecoins, lending, borrowing and trading.
On which blockchain will Mars protocol be deployed?
The protocol, which was originally on Terra, is moving to Osmosis, where it could soon be exchanged against OSMO and ATOM, and where Mars lending protocol will be set up.
What are the next protocols to be launched in Cosmos ecosystem?
There are regularly new projects on Cosmos, most of them with airdrops that you can get by staking ATOM or other Cosmos tokens. You can check them through Cosmospug website.
