We learn about the world through the windows. Noises and sounds creep in "at any time and in any place", as the song says. On some occasions, I have heard domestic arguments. The life of the buildings is more or less like this and with the confinement everything is amplified. I remember that on Twitter for example, there was a woman who asked her neighbor to please close the window when she had sex with her partner. Petition to which several neighbors of her building had joined, and that the aforementioned forgot or neglected despite the messages and notes that slipped from time to time under her door.
The domestic life of the buildings is monitored through the windows. From my window, as I was saying, I have had to listen to discussions a couple of times, actually the word discussion is quite cool in this case. A couple quarrels, the typical rosary that is so well chained, it seems like a piece of music from which there is no escape. What has caught my attention about those interruptions is the guy's response. His posture is that of the joke machine, he laughs at himself, he ducks the attacks with witty twists, joins in the claims that his partner is giving him, even laughs at his own occurrences when responding to the battery of scribbles. That lasts only a few minutes and the woman, before the unbreakable humor of her partner ends up laughing with him. The altercation in a few minutes climatic changes until her voices are barely heard.
At night when I am concentrating watching a movie, I hear his laughter. She sounds happy, content at the rhetorical juggling of her partner. Domestic life are complex subjects in this age. My window stays open most of the day. I am an ear, a pair of hands, I am a slipper in the middle of the hall. I am the siren of the fire engine that is lost in the distance between the streets of the center.
