I need my word of the day
come now
it's just dawning and I need now
my word of the day,
because all the ones I had with me and I have
the hundreds of verbs adjectives nouns and etcetera
that I was gathering since I was a child
with the hard work of the years
until yesterday they have served me
but I need my word of the day today
like I needed it yesterday and I will need it tomorrow
so as not to gasp like a fish out of water
so that the news and the gray words of life do not lock me up
in the bymayores of life that as the century goes on will be nothing,
because in every word there is new life, there is beauty
there is hope
I'm going to run to the dictionary because the new day started
and I urgently need my word for the day
I need a couple more feet of land and more mountains
widen the sea and make the stream more beautiful
And how am I going to do it without my word of the day?
it just dawns and urges me and concocts a new word to me
that means that today my life is going to be a little bigger,
when I have it in my mouth it will be mine, and I will be older
and younger, and I'll be time and I'll be less unfair
a little less cowardly, and maybe more beautiful.
I need to stretch my arms a little more
be a little bit taller, that's all,
