Rollercoin Review after 20 months

Rollercoin Review after 20 months

By TrocProcLock | Earning that Crypto | 18 Jul 2022

I have been playing Rollercoin since November 17th, 2020. I had initially transferred over some ETH to buy RLT when I first started.

I thought it was time to do another review and give my opinion on the game as it stands today. This is not an end all be all review of Rollercoin but as someone who has played for 20 months I feel like I can give an honest review of the game at this point.

Table of Contents:

What is it?

Is it fun?

Is it worth it to start playing today?

What is the ROI?

What Strategy do you use?

What is it?

Rollercoin is a web browser based game where you are a little guy who mines for Cryptocurrency. In order to get better mining speeds you need to play little mini games on the website. Those mini games will give you various mining speeds and only last for a short amount of time. However within Rollercoin you can use that mining power to mine for Rollercoin native token RLT, or BTC, ETH, BNB, BUSD, USDT, MATIC, DOGE or SOL.

In the game you can also purchase miners that will give you permanent mining power. You purchase those miners with the RLT token. In order to keep your miners powered you need to login to the game at least once in 5 days and click a button to re-up your power.

There is so much more to the game as well but those are the basics of the game.

Is it fun?

I do not regret playing this game. The mini games are fun enough to keep me coming back, they are all basically rip offs of well known games just skinned in a Rollercoin fashion. It is fun in my opinion to play mini games to earn mining speeds and it's a continual level up grind. So if you are into that sort of thing this may be right up your alley.

It can definitely be a time suck if you put the work into it. It can also be a very slow passive miner if you get a few miners and just log in every 5 days to re-up your mining power.

They have recently introduced Season's as well that can get you more rewards for free to play players and a LOT of rewards for players who pay for the upgraded Season Pass. It gives you a goal to work towards instead of just playing game endlessly without a end in site. There were a few seasons where the daily tasks were way off and was terrible. With the last season they have seemed to fix that and made the daily tasks a lot more manageable.

Here are back to back days in Season 5 that I played a decent amount of games to get the daily points. It was definitely a lot of time but worth it.

Is it worth it to start playing today?

This depends a lot on how much time and crypto you want to invest into the game. If you want to just play casually a few games a day or just a few days a week then maybe. You have to set your level of expectation before playing if that is you.

If you have like $120 worth of crypto your willing to invest into the game today then I definitely think it could be worth your while IF you also are going to play everyday. Getting enough miners built up if key to passive income. The $120 is the cost of the Season Pass and if you play enough to unlock all the rewards then it is worth it definitely. However that will take a lot of time each day.

One thing to note is that you have to purchase the Season Pass with RLT and you can either mine RLT within the game or send over various cryptos like BTC and ETH and purchase RLT with that crypto.

You have to remember this game is a business to make money. There are a lot of ads (that are not intrusive) and I am sure they make money that way but this game is not just going to make you rich over night either. You need to put time into Rollercoin to make money. However if you just want to play some fun minigames in your free time then this could also be the game for you.

What is the ROI?

I don't know. I am not going to even begin to try to do the math on this because there are way to many variables.

Variables to take into account:

1) How much you invest if any

2) How much you play each day

3) Do you keep your PC level at max level (requiring you to play a minigame once a day at least)

4) What you mine for with your miners

5) What other people are mining for which will effect how much you earn per block

6) What the weekly boosts are for specific coins

See it would be impossible for anyone to tell you what the ROI is because there are too many variables to take into account. One could do the math of what the ROI is on a single miner IF they assume the total mining power is constant for the whole time it takes to get to the ROI but that will not happen in real world conditions.

What Strategy do you use?

I play at least 1 game every morning and every night. I do this to make sure my in-game PC level never drops back to the 1st level. Every day I check the Season Pass and at least get the 2 free daily tasks for viewing webpages or videos. That is an easy 4 points per day. Depending on the 2 games that are available for Daily Tasks I may play both 15 times each to get those daily points.

The way I do it is there are only some games I will play multiple times a day to level up. If both of the games for the day are games I enjoy and play then I will play both 15 times each to get me to 30 games that day and then will play another 10 games to get to the 40 games/day daily task as well.

If I have a slowish day in Real Life and I already played the 40 games I may also shoot for the 80 games in a day daily task. I try to get as many points as I can each day within reason to level up in the Season Pass. There are some nice free player rewards that you can earn and I intend to earn as many as I can to keep my mining power up.

I am ranked 15,000ish on any given day and I don't want to fall behind on that and would prefer to keep moving up but it would require more and more mining power. The block rewards never really increase so as more miners come into play the less each player will make so it is important to be vigilant  and keep increasing your mining power.
