Hello there readers! In this article I'll be going over my personal picks on passive ways to earn crypto. While I intend to write further articles that goes more in-depth on each method specifically consider this a summary of my findings and a brief overview on what it is and how to cash out.

• Brave Browser (Earn BAT)                         

My first recommendation is Brave Browser. At the time of writing I have used this program for several months now and I absolutely adore it. It is a chromium-based browser so if you are an avid google chrome user you'll be easily to adjust to this internet browser. Unlike google chrome, this browser doesn't sell your data. Brave also is privacy focused and will default block trackers and other ads from following via its "Brave Shield." And the best part is yes, you can earn free crypto just for using this browser. No strings attached!                                                                                                                     

How it works is that since you don't see any ads due to Brave automatically blocking them, you can opt in for Brave Rewards which will periodically show an ad (The amount per hour is based off your choosing) in the bottom right hand corner, essentially like a notification on computers running on windows. You can always opt out for complete ad free browsing but you won't gain the benefits from Brave Rewards. You can earn on average 3-5 BAT a month based off how much you use the computer and ad settings. This will earn you around 2-4 USD a month at the current Price of BAT which is .77 USD at the time of writing.                                                             

Your earnings aren't locked up in anyway, there's no minimum amount to withdraw, the brave browser has integration with Uphold wallets and if you want to earn even more, you can have it sent to a Gemini wallet where if you opt into their earn program, you can earn by staking your BAT to generate even more BAT. 

So if you use the internet at all (which if you are reading this, you are) I highly recommend downloading the Brave Browser. It is available for Windows, MacOs, Linux, and on both the Apple app store and Google Play. (Due to apple regulations however you won't be able to earn BAT when you browse on an Iphone device.

• Presearch Search Engine (Earn PRE) 

Complimenting the Brave Browser, I recommend using Presearch as your default search engine! Like how the Brave Browser is similar in role to Google Chrome, Presearch aims to take the role of the Google search engine. With a similar interface like to Google, it is easy to search anything you need to when you need to. The best part is you earn PRE tokens for every search you make! (Paid searches are limited per day) While currently they have a hefty 1000 token minimum requirement to make a withdrawal, the fact that Presearch can seamlessly be integrated into your internet life while also earning passive crypto gets a high rating from me. 

There's additional opportunities to earn even more PRE by becoming one of their node operators! That is however beyond the scope of this article. My personal set up is that I use the Presearch search engine while on the Brave Browser, since it's just a search engine there's no download but there are mobile app versions for Android and IOS devices.

The exchange rate for PRE is .18 USD for each token with each paid search providing (for me) .08 tokens per search and with a cap of 30 paid searches a day. If you were to consistently use all the paid searches a day you can earn around 2.4 tokens or .43 USD a day.                                              

• sMiles App (Earn SAT/BTC)

An additional app that I recommend is the sMiles app. It allows you to convert your location data into bitcoin hassle free just by moving around! Whether you move around a lot during the day or taking jogs every morning sMiles earns you bitcoin! Just check in during the day and see those satoshis pour in! There are additional offers provided in app, including chess puzzles and a daily spin wheel (wheel resets every 12 hours) which also provides free bitcoin! The only restriction is that satoshis operate on the lightning network and there's a 100 minimum satoshi amount to make a withdrawal.

• Bitcoin Libre Wallet (Earn SAT/BTC) 

A good place to store your satoshis (especially the ones you would have earned from sMiles) would be the Bitcoin Libre wallet. It operates on the lightning network so satoshis can seamlessly and inexpensively be transferred back and forth. The way to make free crypto here is there is also a free spin wheel in app as well that resets on a daily basis. Just to let you know, if you do sign up, for anti botting reasons the first one to two spins will result in a network error but no worries the free satoshis are there!

A note when dealing with satoshis and the lightning network, it can be difficult to convert from the lightning network to a more mainstream network/ centralized exchange to convert crypto to FIAT currency. Due to that I recommend the MUUN wallet which integrates both the bitcoin network and lightning network, which allows it to both receive and send bitcoin on both networks. 

• COIN app (Earn XYO/ETH/BTC) 

Another app that allows you to leverage your location data for crypto is the COIN app. While admittedly more hands on, whenever you are on the app or have background rewards time active you are able to earn COIN tokens. These tokens are earned by "geomining" based off your location, there's additional passive ways to earn crypto such as geoclaiming, hodl rewards, and weekly airdrops based off your use rate. While there are additional more time consumptive and paid ways to increase the amount of COIN you earn, the premise of this article strictly only pertains to the free passive aspects. The COIN tokens themselves have no nominal value they can be converted to XYO tokens which have a current value of .0177 USD per token or other cryptos such as ETH and BTC. These cryptos can then be redeemed to either coinbase or a wallet of your choosing.
