Today's #inktober prompt was "Radio", and I thought about all the radios I've had and I wasn't that excited about drawing any of them. Then I thought about those old speakers you used to hang in your car window at the drive it, and that was almost right, and then I remembered that the radio has things ON it, and that in the drive-in era, before you could just tune the movie in on your car radio, back when you actually needed those speakers... way back they used to have awesome content on the radio, and then? Then I drew this:

I did a lot less shading than I usually do, but I stopped at this point because I really liked how it had come out and I thought maybe it was smart to stop while I was happy. Maybe another time I'll come back at it with the colored pencils, though. The scarf should be red, and the background circle and the lettering should both be yellow, stark against the main black background, and his hat should be dark like the night sky.

Who knows what lurks in my heart...
