The prompt for #inktober2020 day 11 was "Disgusting" and I decided that I am not in a good mental place at the moment for dwelling on things that disgust me, so I am skipping day 11.
The prompt for day 12 was "Slippery", and I thought about the yellow "slippery when wet" signs we used to see in cartoons and stuff, but ultimately I decided I wanted something a little more complex and with less actual text involved, so I went with an eel. I understand that eels are not actually slippery, but I didn't invent our cultural conventions - I just draw them haha.

I think I will probably go back in and add more shading to the sea bottom, darken the sand that is further away, that sort of thing. I may also add a water-blue cast to the lighter areas of the eel itself or perhaps do the shadows in the water-blue shade. something to indicate that the blue water is not BEHIND the eel, that he is IN it. For sure, looking at the photo of my drawing, I think his shadow could use some work. I may go back over the small stones too - I like how the one top-left came out, better than any of the others; I may try to render them all that way.
Thanks!
