The prompt for Inktober 22 was Open, and I almost drew a book, but then I thought about other things that can be open, that might be more of a challenge, and I landed here:

I had extra fun drawing the inside of his mouth. Historically, with this sort of pose, I have had trouble making it look like the head is leaning back. I was also pretty nervous about drawing the mouth. In practice, I think that those two elements worked together to reinforce one another, which I am pretty excited about.
The prompt for the 23rd was Leak, and by some miracle of self restraint I decided not to draw a man peeing against a tree. Here is my entry into the genre "leaky pipe".

A friend tells me she can see human figures spraying out of the pipe in the abstract water area. I assure you, if they are present, it was an accident and I blame my disturbed subconscious mind.
For the 24th, the prompt word was Extinct, and I was VERY close to drawing a dinosaur skull, but I didn't like any of the ones I found reference photos of, and I got to thinking about other things that are or are nearly extinct, and the reasons for that.

Another friend was all "make sure it looks like a tooth!" so I did.
