Sometimes I just see a photo and want to try it out, especially if it has some of the elements I am trying to practice. This one had hands and face and shading and weird posture and leaves me wondering what the poor model is thinking - What happened that he's naked and sad like this? or is he just exhausted?

In a couple of hours I think I will probably go in and make his shin thicker, not that I am looking at a photo blowup of the sketch. Possibly the lower line of his eye isn't quite right, but I need to take a very careful look there, because I am not sure, and messing with the eye would threaten to mess with the entire face. His hair looks a little more Mister Spocky than I want - I think the solution would be to move his hairline away from his eyes a bit, but again, any changes to the face threaten the rest of the face, and that's come out pretty close to what I want. We'll see how brave I am feeling later, when I go back to fix the shins.
That said, I am happy with the proportional size of the head, most of the face looks like the face in the photo, and his hands are not cartoony. The image implies some story. If there were crumpled fabric in the hallway, this would have all of the stuff I am practicing! haha.
Thanks as always for looking at my pictures!
