Character sketches graphite finalization over blue colored-pencil underdrawing

Character Drawing!

By DoctorPlatypus | Doctor Platypus | 14 Mar 2022

Today I began a new course on Udemy, teacher is Jaysen Batchelor, and the course title is "Ultimate Character Drawing Course - Beginner to Advanced".

Naturally enough the early lessons are mostly Jaysen demonstrating while I draw along at home, so the first practical project was to draw two characters along with him. First we block out the character in blue colored pencil:

Then finalize it a little with a darker graphite pencil:

Plenty of room for improvement and learning, obvsly, but I like that the "finalized" versions are visibly better than the blue-pencil versions.
