Tonight I wanted to keep practicing hair, without sacrificing good placement of facial features, and I thought it would be a good idea to see if I could make something recognizable, too. I browsed some photos of celebrities with famously interesting hair, and came up with a pretty well known photo of Meg Ryan, which I have spent the last couple hours diligently copying in pencil. Here's my drawing:

Not sure how well I succeeded at the recognizability part of my goal, but I am pretty happy with how her hair came out, and while I am not 100% sure I would know it's Meg Ryan without being told, at least it looks like a human woman, not some weird surreal sauropod cartoon.
